There use to be three but Brian got the first Chilli Pepper we picked. He taught us how to make them hotter so we’ll be doing just that with these two remaining Peppers. Hopefully his Pepper will be ready for his burgers nice and hot!
We’ll be keeping track of how hot these Peppers get here as Brian tells us!
We’ve had a nice salad from the lettuce before and all the leaves have started to grow back! I have brought more home for the burgers and some salads again.
We’ve been really lucky with this lettuce and NO slugs or snails eating our crop up. Out of all the plants one plant has a few small holes in two leaves, but I can’t guarantee it even was a snail or slug that made the holes.
At the BBQ I hope to have lots of home-grown lettuce for anyone wanting lettuce! I’ll re-post about what people say about it and how it taste on the burgers and such!
Sadly a bit on the fuzzy side but still you get the idea of how well it is growing and just think about the taste! I cut a piece off the other day and gave it to Simon to chew and he really enjoyed it! I had some as well and it was delicious!!
I honestly can’t wait to put some in my Italian Gravy and even the Meatballs! I’m sure there are other foods that I’d like to try and make the Garlic flavour come alive! Maybe even on some burgers!! I’ll let you know as on my birthday We’re having a BBQ so I hope the Garlic Chives have grown big enough for those who want some to be able to get some!
